Taylor’s assault continued, leaving Jack and Holly injured. Holly goes for help, and Jack is relieved she’ll be safe, because he knows that Taylor will return for him.

Allan remembers a time when Jack wanted to take Valerie to dance, and a moment between him and Irene when truth was told, and feelings revealed. A sense of fear, longing, regret, bittersweet memories. All from looking at Holly’s school photo, it triggered this.

Who comes to Jack’s rescue, isn’t who Jack might expect. I wonder if readers will be surprised by it as well! 🙂
