Day 18: Closeness & Persistence

Writing the character of Holly is different for me, as she’s even younger than the character of Lily, clocking in at age 6. I’ve thought about how I was at the age of 6 and as a child. It’s been happy revisiting some of those moments, painful for others.

Holly is getting to spend time with Jack now, and is enjoying their time together. Although, she drops more hints at wanting a baby brother or sister — and continuing to make both of her parents uncomfortable, as they’re not at that place of trust–yet. Although Jack has already thought about more children with Valerie. He’s also afraid of the hidden desires which he uncovered as well!

Holly continues to tell both parents what she wants, and is being a little mischievous in her way about it. Those scenes are fun to write, and make me chuckle, at her impishness with it, and her persistence. 🙂

I was two when my baby brother was born, so I don’t recall anything first hand with that. Growing up, my brother and I were very close, and I was like the ringleader and he was my accomplice! haha! I dared him to do a lot of stuff, and he did it. We had a lot of fun together, and laugh now talking about those times. 🙂
