Day 24: High and Low

Artwork by Mohamed_hassan

I’m not quite sure what to make today’s post about, but wanted to get it out there, and if need be I will tweak it later 🙂

I’ve gotten a little more typed up today, and a bit more added that wasn’t originally in my notebooks.

After Jack’s realization that he isn’t rejected, but that Valerie has always accepted him, a spiritual battle briefly ensued, dark & light battling for him. He passed out, and had what felt like a dream – but was actually a repressed memory from his childhood, which revealed a turning point for him as a child. A casting away of all fathers – deeming them unnecessary (in his eyes, even though incorrect), and an attempt to protect his mom from her abusive husband. Then him telling his child version, the truth: that he wasn’t rejected, he had a family, a wife, a daughter, he was loved, and loved by a heavenly father.

I drew partially from my own experience with this, as a teenager, about 17-18, I was delivered fully from depression. And I remember sitting on my bed, and it was my bedroom, but its like everything around me was blank/black. And I remember knowing and feeling that things were different. The depression was just gone, and just left. And it’s never returned. I was supernaturally and spiritually delivered from it! I had struggled with depression off and on throughout my pre-teen and teen years, and it would go away for a bit, but never fully went away.

Thank you Holy Spirit & Jesus for deliverance – full and complete deliverance!

P.S. I knew I had to pick that artwork, because in my book reference is made to Jack as Songbird, and that he’s a caged bird, who will always return due to his chain. The symbolism behind it too, I knew that was the photo! 🙂
