I just finished writing some more of my book by hand. Jack was giving Holly and Tommy (her friend), a music lesson, and he was concerned about how much Holly talked about Tommy. Val told him, Tommy is a nice boy and that he didn’t need to worry.

Things are going well, until Jack goes to get water for them, and Holly is nervous, so she does something she’s seen her parents do – she holds Tommy’s hand. When Jack sees this, he is concerned and says their hands need to be above their waist, where he can see them.

Holly gets upset, as Jack had promised to be nice to Tommy, and tells him what he didn’t expect and dreads to hear: I want to go home.

After what happened to he and Val as teens on a camping trip, he is being overprotective perhaps, but he’s concerned and hurt now she’s said she wants to go home. He’s also surprised, because he thought boy crazy happened later!

As a kid, I chuckle (and so did my mom!) because I never went through a time when I didn’t like guys! I had crushes on guys at around age 6! (Which is Holly’s age :))

My first crush, I believe, was Zybch Trofimuik from the Australian/Polish show, “Spellbinder“, closely followed by or maybe around the same time, as Zen Gesner, from “The Adventures of Sinbad“.
