New fountain pen! I saw this and had to buy it, as I immediately thought of one of my all-time favorite bands, Cheap Trick! 🙂
It’s much prettier in person, than the Amazon page shows (which actually looks like it could be a different pen. The nib is different, and I think it may be a fine nib, not a medium.), even despite that it writes great, smooth, and haven’t had any problems with the ink of choice.
I’ve inked it up with Ferris Wheel Roaring Patina, a black ink with gold glitter, inspired by the roaring 1920s.
I missed a few days with the blog, but I’m not going to give up!
Today I got a little more typed up, and teared up a bit, thinking about a scene I may do with Jack and Holly later. This book feels more raw and vulnerable at times than my WWII one, a lot of it is taken from personal experiences/feelings, even though scenarios are different, the emotions behind it similar/or same. As Holy Spirit has also used the writing to allow me to see/realize, that some of those were hidden even to me, and seeing it in written form, I realized I felt those feelings that the character had.
I’m very pleased with this revision scene, and I feel gives a bit more understanding and insight into Jack and Christie, as this is really her first interaction with him in this scene. Up to this point, she’s only heard of him, and knows of the history between him and Val, and how he left her years ago.
What have you discovered about yourself that was hidden or buried to even you, through your writing?
