When I Wake Up Tomorrow

Valerie confesses to Jack her fears, and Jack holds her, ask her to let him be strong for her. And she leans into that, after years of having to do it all herself. She’s still afraid, and nervous, but loves him. He wants them to be like they used too: the hopes, dreams, theirs together going forward.

He still knows he needs to show her, he’s a different and better man. He’s just trying to figure out how. But feels encourage after this, and knowing she still loves him.

It’s leading up to a sad point in the story, for a minor character – but one that has helped shape Jack, and get him on the path he’s on. It’s coming soon, and it will be a blow to Valerie.
