Yesterday I was bad. I didn’t get any writing done, knew I should around 10pm at night. But… I never lifted a pen or my notebook. And then sleepiness kicked in… and nothing was written. No blog was posting.

So I’m coming clean here, why nothing was written or posted last night. I procrastinated and didn’t prioritize my writing. It was bad, but I’m not going to feed the shame, and if you missed a day or a few, don’t feed it either or beat yourself up. The devil wants us to feel shame, and let that consume us, because it keeps us stuck! It’s a tactic he’s been trying to use more recently with me.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. – Romans 8:1 NLT

Jesus doesn’t use shame or condemnation, but the devil does. When the devil tries, it’s time to use our authority, and tell him to pound sand. It’s something I’m learning and actively working on: using my authority, taking every thought captive, casting down vain imaginations. It’s something we’re not taught much about in the modern church unfortunately, and something that is vital in our Christian life and walk. It’ll probably feel weird, and sometimes you’ll wonder if you’re doing right, but keep doing it, it’s time to own and step in/walk in the shoes we are to fill! And know you’re never alone. <3

So I’m not beating myself up too much for not writing yesterday. Today, I will be, and so tongue-in-cheek and grinning as I write this. Here’s the song for today 🙂
