Little Girl’s Tears

So today, I decided to type some more up. I was in part inspired to do so, because I’m sending my mom a new file of my book so far to read. And I realize I usually type up over weekend, but I didn’t opting instead to handwrite.

Perhaps I’m also dragging my feet on wrapping it up… not because I don’t want to, I DO, but because I will miss these characters and their stories! Even though they’re not saying goodbye, as I have a book 2 planned, which will continue to tell their stories of love and healing.

So today, I wrote for 18 minutes, 1.5 pages typed up. Little Holly reads her mom’s letter to Jack, and regrets it, but is able to re-focus Jack and Dave from their arguing. Her tears get Jack’s heart every time, and Dave feels awkward and ashamed that a six year old had more common sense than him in that moment.

I’m so glad Jack and Valerie’s story will continue in book 2, even though they won’t be the mains that time around. That time around, it will be Dave’s turn for the spotlight, with Christie of course (but don’t tell him that! haha! 😉 )

She’s a Beauty by The Tubes (This is from Dave’s POV on Christie)
