First, I’ll start off with: Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this day has brought you some joy and happiness.
Today I decided to do some writing on one of my typewriters:
The beautiful 1980 Torpedo 10/30 in a striking red & yellow, featuring the techno typeface.
I think it might need a bit of cleaning, it seemed a bit sticky on some of the keys. (or could be I’m out of practice as well!)
Today I wrote a scene with Taylor and Valerie. He targeted her fears and emotions in regard to Jack, attempting to blame and shame her. She asks at one point “How he knows this?”, because it’s things she nor Jack ever told him, but he has knowledge of.
Valerie is aware when they were 17 her emotionally charged feelings put things into motion that changed their lives forever, and she’s scared that her desire for intimacy with Jack, may be too soon and will make things worse/harder again, so she is trying to put some distance between them, and hurting Jack in the process, he doesn’t understand why she’s doing this suddenly. And she is curious to know exactly what he told Holly, as Holly touched on that with a bit.
Taylor is a character who is 100% evil, it’s alluded in this scene, what really is the driving force with him. He is working both ends of this, trying to create wreckage and problems for them both, in different ways.
How do you write spiritual warfare in your books, or present characters you have a supernatural aspect (good or evil) in your writing?
And because I discovered this song a few days ago, and it’s been stuck in my head since. Such a great song, I love the words, melody – it’s all good!
