Today I was working on writing the follow-up scene with Jack and Valerie, after Taylor terrorizes her. Jack comforts her, and they sit on the beach, and have a vulnerable heart-to-heart. She opens up to him about her fears, how she blames herself for setting in motion events that changed their lives, and didn’t just effect her. Jack also shares things he’s realized, and that he knows his choices effected things too–not just hers.
This is another turning point in their relationship, because they fought, worked through the trauma and hurt, and this time it’s like they’re working through the healing together. They are closer, and growing closer, sharing more intimacy in their hearts, thoughts, actions and thinking of the other. And they both share a growing desire to be intimate in the marriage way. The way they now know is best, and they are both getting closer to sharing/confessing that to each other.
Ah, my heart soars with joy for these two to reconcile and experience a transformed love, a healthier love, this time with Jesus in the midst of their marriage and love. 👩❤️👨💒
