I’m making my post now, because it’s been a frustrating day for parts of it, and I’m frustrated right now. I order most of what I want online, because physical stores never carry what I’m looking for, or it’s absurdly higher vs online.
Side rant, but I stopped at Best Buy to look at the Kindle Matcha, and it looked horrible in person! The screen looked to have severe ghosting and washed out, while the Paperwhite looked much better. I suspect they needed to restart it, but not a good first impression. The green color is also a more yucky shade of green, not a pretty mint green.
Back to the topic this blog is about: writing. I did get a little written today, at the scene now where creep Taylor talks to Holly, while Jackson is distracted at the purchase counter. I haven’t finished the scene yet, but I’m thinking about commenting either here or later about the not talking to strangers, especially this one. Jack knows Taylor is dangerous, but he hasn’t considered the risk for Holly with him, only with Allan (his stepfather).
What is your favorite thing to purchase, and is it in person or online? And from which favorite store?
Bonus question! – How do you balance not talking to strangers and not being rude, with children? I’m thinking perhaps it’s a different case when the parent is right there with the child, versus a stranger talking to the child when they’re alone.
