Ah, in today’s writing, I wrapped up the beautiful & romantic scene with Jack and Valerie. Then we pivot back to Dave, Holly, and Christie. Christie is looking bored, and Holly tells Dave he should ask her to dance, to which he says no (of course!)
Holly teases him, that he doesn’t know how, and Dave takes her up on the challenge, showing her how to do some dances…. and also exposing his well-kept secret: not only does he know how to dance, but that he is very good at it! 🙂
In the next part, it will be Christie’s turn to dance, and the why of dancing will also be revealed 🙂
I thought this was a fun and unique quality to give him, perhaps almost juxtaposing his rock star image (or what may people may think.) I drew inspiration for this, because as a child, my mom started taking me and my siblings to local productions of Broadway shows. She wanted us to have experiences like that, I might not have the exact words, but experiences with classic arts, to see live shows like that.
We went many times over the years, and it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a play. But if the right one came to town, I’d probably go again.
What are your favorite plays? Do you like dancing, if so what style?
My favorite plays are: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Phantom of The Opera.
For dance style, I like watching shuffle dancers or the Williams brothers, but I enjoy most forms of it. Such talent! 🙂
And of course, the song “Dance The Night Away” by Van Halen:
